Spectacles

It has been a summer of many different sights and experiences for Susan and I. Learning to dry fly fish and putting up the nymphs in the fly box until we return to the Little Red River has been a thrill. We have had ringside seats watching a Swainson's  Hawk on his daily jaunts for Garter Snakes. The too many to name different flowers on the alpine ridges have been a true spectacle for us. It has been a summer of climbing mountains, floating and wading rivers and streams,learning new birds, eating great food and drinking way to much. Bird season and Montana is starting to bother us so we will soon start changing gears from fishing to bird hunting. We also worry about our friends and family that have made a living outdoors this summer. Here is to fewer droughts, lower temperatures and a more favorable growing season next year. We have been very fortunate to have missed what they have endured. We have a blujillion pictures to post, so stay tuned for them. Also how do you forget about the Gourds, The Band of Heathens and the always great Robert Earl Keen. The Tour of Colorado is next week and we look forward to enjoying that with friends from Little Rock here in the Butte. So long for now.
